To begin the application process, please click the "Create an Account" tab at the top of this page to create an application account. The account is under the parent/guardian's name. From there, you will be instructed to create a login, password, and verify your email via a message to your email account. The verification email may take a few minutes to generate. Thank you for your patience.
2. Campus Tour and Info Session
Families interested in The Compass School of Texas are asked to attend a tour or open house to learn more about our school. To see available dates and register, please go here.
You have the flexibility to log in and out of your application account without losing your data as it will autosave. Each section will have a green check mark once you have completed all required fields.
4. Review and Submit & Pay Application Fee
Once all required fields of the application are complete, you must select "Review & Submit." You will then be instructed to pay the application fee of $100.
*Please note the option to copy an applicant's demographic information for a sibling the first application must already be submitted.
5. Submit Supporting Documentation (Teacher Evaluation & School Records)
The Compass School of Texas requests a teacher evaluation from an applicant's teacher. Please ensure your child's teacher knows they will be receiving this request. This will need to be completed no later than January 26, 2024. You will be asked to provide your preferred teacher's name and contact information. Once you have submitted the application, an electronic request will automatically be sent directly to the teacher for confidential completion.
Similarly, a request for your child's school records will be sent to their current school. We ask that these be sent directly from the school. These will also need to be received by January 26, 2024.
6. Parent Interview
We invite you to schedule a 15-20 minute virtual visit with us for a conversation with The Compass School of Texas Head of School. These conversations offer an opportunity to visit specifically about your family’s core values and the school’s belief that parents are pivotal in inspiring students to be creative and confident leaders of tomorrow. After you submit your application, we will reach out to schedule this virtual video or phone call.
7. Playdate or Shadow Visit
After you submit your application, we will reach out to schedule an in-person, 45-minute playdate with a small group of other applicants (PreK-K) or a half-day shadow visit (1st-3rd). During the playdate and shadow visit, each prospective student will have the opportunity to complete a project both in a group setting and individually. These do not require any special preparation.
It is important to keep your scheduled time, unless circumstances are extenuating.
